01 · Day by day

Arrivals and departures, day by day

Normal is the average day at these airports in the two weeks before (4–17 Jan) and the two weeks after (26 Jan–8 Feb), leaving out the event days and the day after it closes, when departures peak. We measure normal from the days around the event because ADS-B coverage grows from one year to the next, which would flatter any comparison with last year.

397 arrivals

18–24 Jan. +150% a day against its own normal.

ADS-B coverage grew a lot from one year to the next, so arrival counts from different editions aren’t directly comparable. The rise over each edition’s own normal days is the steadier figure.

03 · Origins

Where they flew in from

Zurich Airport sent the most arrivals, 28. The top three airports sent 19% between them, and United Kingdom was the biggest origin country, with 16% of arrivals.

08 · Planning

Flying in for the Davos 2027

What the 2026 figures say about timing and airports. Dates for 2027 come from the organizers.

  1. Land before Monday

Mon 19 Jan was the busiest arrival day, with 105. Landing a day earlier misses the rush for slots and parking.

  2. Pick the airport for your aircraft

Zurich Airport (LSZH) took 53% of arrivals and Friedrichshafen (EDNY) 20%. Runway length and parking differ between them, so check with your operator which suits the aircraft you’re offered.

  3. Book the return early

Fri 23 Jan was the busiest day to leave, with 116 departures. Book the slot early, or leave a day later.

  4. Expect the jet to leave and come back

After 47% of arrivals, the same aircraft left again within six hours. If yours does, the trip home starts with a second positioning flight, which may show on the quote.

  5. Check the exact aircraft

Event weeks stretch fleets. Ask for the tail number and check how hard it has been flown before you book.

Method: private jet arrivals and departures at LSZH, EDNY, LFSB, LSZS, LSMD during the event dates, from ADS-B tracking, against a normal day measured over the days around the event. Stays matched by aircraft, then reported as totals. Every count is a minimum: flights the receivers missed aren’t in it. About our data
